Decades after the Civil Rights Movement, America is still dealing with racism. The topic of race fills our news headlines, our city streets, and even our pulpits. Recognizing the centuries-old mistreatment of minority groups, how should Christians respond to racism? Is it possible to respond in sensitive ways that actually make a difference? How should our faith inform and transform the way we think about race?
Race & Christianity is a three-week Bible study around the issues that we face every day. This three part study will be conducted as a private Facebook group, beginning on Wednesday, January 18. We'll start every Wednesday with a post and a few readings as well as links to scripture and then open up the discussion that will run for the following week. If we have a large group, we'll set up a time to "meet online" for a real-time discussion. The discussion will also be available to members whenever it is convenient for them.
